: vibrations that travel through the air or another medium and can be heard when they reach a person’ ear. Sound is produced by continuous and regular vibrations, as opposed to noise. Sound conveys a specified impression when heard.

Frequency:the rate at which a vibration occurs that constitutes a wave, either in a material (as in sound waves), or in an electromagnetic field (as in radio waves and light),

Sound has power. That’s why the Bible says in Proverbs 18:21, “Death and Life are in the power of the tongue”. What we speak or command in the atmosphere brings life or death to what we want to accomplish.

I believe that there is a sound and frequency that we tune into subconsciously. There is an atmospheric sound that we respond to. That sound or vibration or vibe connects to our inner man. We know this to be true based upon the genre of music that is what we would consider our favorite.  Music is a medium that can prepare the mind for an atmosphere. It immediately sets the tone, changes the atmosphere and can alter mood.

The frequency we tune into connects us to the sound we are drawn to. When we can’t find the frequency we search for it. We are uncomfortable with the static which is noise until we find the sound we need to connect to.

Sometimes when you live in a region you may not find the frequency but you will tune into something similar. The similarity is a substitute. It fills in the gap but does not completely offer satisfaction.

We speak on different frequencies based upon a proclivity of knowledge that is rooted in understanding and experiences. The sounds that we vibrate are related to the atmosphere and the climate of the environment in which we are influenced. When we tune into a frequency that is not on a level of most,  we are considered different.

So many are only regurgitating what we have been taught. Even though we may tune into a different channel it is still on the same frequency so we hear and still speak on the same volume. We still give the same outputs in sound because of what has been downloaded into us.  We still process the information the same because we are tuned into a particular sound.

There is an atmospheric war that affects the frequency and sound that we are able to connect to. When we are tuned in, we hear a sound that we feel strongly connected to, but when we are around a majority it makes the signal that we hear faint. So we think we are wrong because they are so loud. But, our mind will not allow us to conform. We find ourselves wrestling with the thought, it keeps us up at night, we feel as if we don’t fit in and we are constantly feeling pressed into a box. But there is hope!

We have to learn to tune past the static and even change the modulation,  the exertion of a modifying or controlling influence, variation in the strength, tone, or pitch of one’s voice when necessary. You will find that you are not alone and where two or three agree that sound can break chains, unlock doors and break you free, just ask Paul and Silas!

Joel 2:1a Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain.

Walk In The Light

Truth is far more than facts. It’s not just something we act upon. It acts upon us. We can’t change the truth, but the truth can change us.

So I was pondering 2 Corinthians 10:5- Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

I’m not the biggest fan for the Mesaage Bible but understanding that this verse is as much a familiar scripture to fight in warfare we forget that there is warfare that tradition, and man made governances has caused people to be bound and in captivity.

The Message Bible Version states it this way: The world is unprincipled. It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren’t for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.

Truth is reality. It’s the way things really are. What seems to be and what really is are often not the same. To believe what isn’t true, a perception, a concept, rules or governance is to be blind.

As followers of Christ, we are to walk in the truth (3 John 1:3), love the truth, and believe the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). We’re to speak the truth “in love” (Ephesians 4:32). Truth is far more than a moral guide. Jesus declared, “I am the way, the TRUTH and the life; no man comes to the Father but by Me” (John 14:6). He didn’t say He would show the truth or teach the truth or model the truth. He is the TRUTH, Truth personified. He is the source of all truth, the embodiment of truth and therefore the reference point for evaluating all truth-claims. If we truly studied the TRUTH without laws or religion that bind us to a particular belief and structure we would see the TRUTH differently and in a pure form.

The unfortunate thing is we get broken from our freedom to conform to a particular belief that says what is acceptable by God. The freedom that some experience makes the majority of the bound uncomfortable. The free are labeled as rebellious, out of order, radical and weird. We have found a way to take freedom and tie it up and hold it hostage. We conform our free thinking to be bound so that we fit in and are not left out. We are told that our free thinking is rebellious and unbiblical.

Jesus said “If the Son therefore shall MAKE you Free, ye shall be free indeed. So we push law, mans expectation, and twist truth with tradition only to enslave ourselves again. So, realistically relevant can’t look like tradition. Any similarity will be a mimic or copy cat. The world we live in today is no longer traditional. If the language used or the delivery of the message does not meet people where they are it is not relevant. We quote the parables that Jesus used and we forget he spoke to them in terms of the culture they were apart of to reach them. It always makes me scratch my head and raise an eyebrow that we expect perfection from the people of God.

We are expecting people to live under the law when the law that we are all under is Grace. We are comfortable seeing people made up covering their flaws yet, they are still hurting and bound. It is more suitable for us to look like a part than to walk in TRUTH. This belief that makes us feel like there is something in man to achieve. When in actuality, we should be chasing after God and His approval and His righteousness not the self righteousness of man.

We ascribe to a belief that is not prescribed by God but is primarily controlled and ordained by man. If we are not to be conformed to this world we have to look at it as more than moral sin and separation as well as conformity to a limited God. We sin by exalting man, law and governance over Jesus and the TRUTH.

To be transformed by the renewing of our mind we will have to put some traditions, some limitations, some labels, some approaches out of the way we respond.

We limit His message by trying to take a message that doesn’t contextually and culturally fit for the people, the time or the region. We try to make it a one size fit all. I was reminded of the low places Jesus went and that he wasn’t dressed to the nine to get to them. That he ministered to the broken, unchurched, and the common. Jesus was untraditional and was able to speak to people on every level and he was able to meet them where they were. Walk in the Light!

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of TRUTH. Concentrate on doing your best for God, work you won’t be ashamed of, laying out the TRUTH plain and simple. Stay clear of pious talk that is only talk.

John 8:32 (KJV) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall MAKE you free.

Morning Cup of Coffee

Isolation: the state of being in a place or situation that is separate from others
Separation: the act of separating or state of being separated.

I read somewhere there is a fine line between separation and isolation. Separation will place a person upon a higher spiritual plane, while isolation could position that person and those in that person’s circle within a downward spiral.
When you have been in the valley, it can seem like you are in isolation as you are going through it alone. Maybe your phone isn’t, ringing, no one is checking for you like they used too and it is very quiet. But, in separation we are not alone. It is in the quiet times that we hear what God has been trying to say to us when we were distracted. It is in separation that we are being reprogrammed and new data is being downloaded and our thought process is being challenged and changed.

When we are in the surgery room only qualified individuals can be there. The surgeon and his qualified assistants are there to get you through the procedure. While your family and friends are in the waiting room you come out of the procedure you have a process in recovery and before you can see them you still have to spend some time alone with the qualified in the recovery room. God is in control and his qualified assistants Jesus, and Holy Ghost are there to guide you through the procedure and the process of recovery. I ❤️ You Raslyn Craig

Morning Cup of Coffee: Closeup

When we look at ourselves with a microscope or magnifying glass we can see our flaws. How many of us are magnifying our imperfections. We may have done somethings that have disappointed ourselves. We may have made some mistakes that we are not proud of. What are you magnifying? Are you magnifying what you did, missed opportunities, hurt, abuse, mistakes or frustrations? We will fall but each time is an opportunity for us to get back up and try again.

Rarely do we magnify the great things about ourselves. Often times we are afraid too because we have been trained that it is boastful. Let me tell you a secret, you can be humble and still have confidence and it is completely ok. Give yourself permission to celebrate yourself.
We can get caught up in a mental race which often times has a need for quick  completion. Life is a journey. It is full of twists and turnes. It is always troublesome when one moment, day, or year is used to completely define a person. What has happened to you is just a mile marker along your journey that you have driven by. If you choose to stop life and live there that is entirely up to you. I challenge you to keep driving and see what is in your future and stop looking in your rear view mirror. Your windshield has a bigger frame for you to see Life.

Cup of Coffee: Clarity

Wearing lenses that are the wrong strength may cause blurry vision, headaches and a sense of dizziness or a lack of balance. Similarly, when we are not wearing the correct lense strength it can have an similar outcome on how we view our future, our health, our success and our life balance.

Sometimes it is difficult to see things clearly because we are looking at things  without proper lenses. The lense that we may be viewing things through could be based upon our inability to see our strength, the inability to believe in our gift or our inability to be confident in who we are. That lense could be cracked because someone early in our development broke us in a particular area. That cracked lense could be the by product of the offenders attempt to control our success. It’s funny how people tell us we can be anything we put our minds too. However, when we try to do so they control us by their small jabs that point out areas that cause us to have insecurities or question our abilities. Often times people use insults that are masked in humor but it is a seed that is yet planted. Those little snatches pull us back down to remind us that we are no better than the barrel of crabs that we are in. The sentiment is that you can do anything, except be better than the environment that you dwell.

When you put on the right lenses, eliminate people, and add the right people in your life you will begin to be confident in your purpose and your value. If anyone that is attached to you makes you feel as if you are not valuable re-evaluate their need to be in your life. If you are constantly waiting in a position of validation, it’s time to walk away. If you’re  still waiting for appointment it’s ok to stop walking along the sideline and run your individual race.

If your lenses are cracked, it’s ok get a new pair, if they are blurry wipe them off. Do whatever you need to allow yourself to command your atmosphere and run to your purpose!
